House Of God

from Best Behaviour by Chris Cowie

/

about

Written for the Best Behaviour album and subsequently released on vinyl as part of the acclaimed 8 track Direct Connect EP.

Excerpt From Muzik Magazine UK
House of God is my personal favourite on this EP. Stealing the voice of Samuel L Jackson "I Felt The Touch Of God" from Tarantino's Pulp Fiction. A spoken word sample that in the wrong hands would be pretentious and dull but Cowie pulls it off masterfully and turns it in to in to a memorable moment that oozes character. Mixed with angry synth like horns from somewhere deep below its all fused on top of a dark but so funky groove which refuses to fail in the club as my own personal experience proves. Records like this don't come around to often, producers as good as Cowie are rare. A master piece!
